Eriksson Architects Ltd provides comprehensive design services in urban design, landscape and building design and renovations. Our practice was founded 1979 and we have performed several hundred successful design projects all over Finland. Our project export reaches from the Baltic countries further to Russia and China. We operate globally for sustainable design solutions, multidisciplinary collaboration, innovative planning and creative design with a strong emphasis on further education and technical standards - these are important aspects of our long term strategy. Our experienced and dedicated team has been rewarded numerous 1st prizes in national and international architectural and design competitions.

We see learning as a continuous process and we continuously emphasise on further education, seminars, lectures, excursions and field trips for our staff and co-operating partners. Our knowledge centre ERIARC FORUM was founded in 2008 to bring national and international decision makers together for discussions, conferences and field trips on relevant architectural and urban design issues.

Eriksson Architects apply the Association of Finnish Architects (ATL) Quality Standards. In every project the quality control is agreed and implemented together with the client. This ensures high quality standards throughout the project design.

In all practice we emphasise on sustainable design in all urban planning and building design. We are committed to sustainable solutions and study, develop and implement the latest environmental initiatives and technologies. We create master plans and detailed city and control plans for new urban areas, from large city areas to smaller towns and villages and create methods to renovate old energy consuming areas in a direction that reduces energy and electricity consumption and preserves water and other natural resources.
Together with a large network of expertise we offer overall concepts and design for ECO-CITIES including sustainable energy planning, carbon control, infrastructure and traffic planning.

We use three dimensional modelling in all our projects. Our Building Information Model (ERIARC BIM) makes it possible to study buildings and environment in three dimensions during the whole urban design and building planning process. It also enables us to create virtual tours to help the decision making. ERIARC BIM serves the owner long after the project is finished. ERIARC BIM is compatible with International IFC Standards and Finnish Pro IT Standards.
