Anders Tyrrestrup
Founding Partner

Anders Tyrrestrup established AART architects in 2000 together with Anders Strange and Torben Skovbjerg Larsen and is part of the office’s senior professional and administrative management. Focusing on social sustainability, he has worked as an architect in more than 15 years and has thus gained deep insight into the many possibilities of architecture from the opening, conceptual phase to the handover and performance of the finished building.

Over the years, he has handled the strategic project management and concept development of AART architects’ projects. In this way, his vibrant architectural manner and contextual understanding can be traced in all of the office’s projects, whether it concerns early projects such as the outdoor centre Sletten in Ry (Denmark) or newer and larger projects such as Norwegian Wood in Stavanger (Norway).

As the responsible partner for AART architects’ four research teams, Anders Tyrrestrup is the chief executive for the office’s professional development. Based on a close dialogue with each research team leader, he provides the framework for an innovative work environment where the collective knowhow is available to all employees and business partners.
