Hatlehol Church and Cultural Centre

Norway

CORNELIUS + VÖGE, atelier for arkitektur, was established in 2005 by architects Nanna Vöge and Dan Cornelius who today are partners and owners of the company. The office is primarilly working with cultural buildings, housing, urban planning and urban spaces. The office has built several prize-awarded and published buildings and is right now working on their largest projects so far, House of the North Atlantic in Denmark and Hatlehol Church in Norway. Both projects won in competitions. .

CORNELIUS + VÖGE describe their architecture as a narrative form of art where each project tells a story of the site, program, space, structure or light. The projects express and combine the sensitive, the poetic and the experience of space with the pragmatic, simple and precise in both detail and concept. The office search for strong architectural conceptual ideas in combination with sensible relations to architectural form and space, the site and texture.
