A new office building was recently constructed in the Poststrasse in Ostermundigen, Switzerland: The service centre was built on the former industrial site of the “Acifer Hall" in direct proximity to the train station and contains modern office space with room for around 650 employees. Extensive retail and commercial space is located on the ground floor of the building.

The approx. 18,000 m² of rental space are bright and calm: The interiors are characterised by lots of white, light wood tones and grey patterned carpeting – creating an inviting and friendly atmosphere. The exterior is a real eye-catcher, too: the brown façade relates to the former industrial use of the area. Moreover, the terraces on every floor and the roof greening give the building a particularly dynamic effect.

All in all, Poststrasse is the ideal location for the Touring Club Switzerland (TCS): As a long-term tenant, it bundles its administrative locations in German-speaking Switzerland here. The rooms were designed according to the tenant's conception.

Lindner played a major role in the interior fit-out of the building – the full-range supplier produced, delivered and installed partition walls, doors and floor systems: The Lindner Life Clear glass partition was originally developed for the Polizei- und Justizzentrum in Zurich and therefore meets the strict Swiss requirements in terms of fire protection, earthquake resistance and acoustics already. In addition, it separates the individual offices and meeting rooms from each other – thanks to transparent glass, the rooms are still flooded with light. The matching floor-to-ceiling wooden doors in white HPL decor come from the Lindner plant in Ostrov. In addition, revisable switch panels were installed. Between the glass partitions, Lindner used timber partitions as well as classic drywall construction – these were supplemented by a number of special wall finishes concealed in the wall system. The LIGNA raised floor completes the harmonious look of the interior.

Increased fire protection requirements applied to the entrance area of the building: The fire proofing Lindner Life Stereo 125 glass partition and the 49 mm thick EI30 wooden doors were installed there. Thanks to the Lindner floor bulkheads, the fire protection measures were improved even further and the sound insulation was increased to an Rw value of 44 dB.
