The former power station Nordkraft in Aalborg has been converted into a cultural centre for music, scenic and athletic activities. The main idea behind the Nordkraft conversion is to create a diverse architectural framework as the basis for infusing new life and content into the building. The vision adds to and builds on the inherent characteristics of Nordkraft, for instance to retain the beautiful interior high-ceilinged rooms and to re-use the large concrete structures of industrial architecture.
