Finnish department store chain, The Stockmann Group, which has operated in St. Petersburg since 1993, is strengthening its presence in the city by opening a new premier shopping mall.

Nevsky Prospect, with its wide array of businesses and shops, is St. Petersburg’s high street. Stockmann has chosen this central location, at the intersection of Nevsky Prospect and Vosstaniya Street, as the site for the new Nevsky Centre.

A full-scale Stockmann department store will boast over 80 stylish shops on 7 floors, comprising a delicatessen, car park for 550 cars, a food court, speciality cafes, roof-top terrace restaurants, a fitness centre and a beauty spa. Business will be offered a choice selection of office suites with commanding views of the city.

Pöyry Finland’s partnership with Stockmann in 2005 on this project showcases our experience in Russia as well as our ability to understand client’s business objectives.  Not only has Pöyry assisted in the early strategic retail concept of Nevsky Centre, but has also carried out those concepts through the architectural and interior design for the building.
