Pöyry Sports & Venues, the sports branch of Pöyry Finland designed this 27,500 m2 arena, which is mainly intended for ice hockey matches and concerts. It seats 10 000 spectators. In addition, there is a 500-seat practice rink adjacent to the main one. International standards in design and technology are applied for the comfort of the players, entertainers and spectators but also to enable the organization of world-class events.
The arena is commissioned by Lemcon, a member of the Lemminkäinen group who was responsible for the construction of several recent arenas in Europe, notable the Hartwall Arena in Helsinki, Color Line Arena in Hamburg (also designed by Pöyry Sports & Venues) and the Saku Great Hall in Tallinn.
